An androgenic agent, contains testosterone esters. It affects the development and function of the external

genitalia, prostate, seminal vesicles, and secondary sexual

characteristics (voice, hair). Participates in the formation of the constitution of the body and sexual

behavior, activates libido and potency, stimulates spermatogenesis. It is an antagonist of the female sex hormones-estrogens. It has an anabolic effect, which is manifested in the stimulation of protein synthesis, the delay necessary for the synthesis of protein, potassium, sulfur, phosphorus, which enhance the fixation of calcium in the bones and increase the muscle mass of the body. Testosterone esters have different rates of absorption and excretion, which

ensures a rapid development of the effect and a long-lasting effect (up to 4 weeks) after a single administration.

Effect

An androgenic agent, it also has an anabolic effect. In target cells (skin, prostate, seminal vesicles, epididymus), 5-alpha-reductase is reduced to 5-alpha-dihydrotestosterone, which specifically interacts with membrane receptors on the cell surface and penetrates into the nucleus. In some tissues (including the hypothalamus) turns into estradiol.

In men, it stimulates the development and activity of the gonads, prostate gland, seminal vesicles, the formation of secondary male characteristics (growth, low voice, beard and mustache growth), increases libido and potency; indirectly, through the central nervous system, it affects sexual behavior.

Reduces the deposition of fat and the excretion of trace elements. Inhibits the production and release of LH and FSH by the pituitary gland.

It has anabolic effects: participates in the growth of the skeleton, increases the mass of skeletal muscles; causes the retention of nitrogen, phosphorus, K+ and sulfur, which are necessary for protein synthesis.

The testosterone esters that are part of the drug have different rates of absorption and excretion, which ensures a rapid development of the effect and a long-lasting effect (up to 4 weeks) after a single injection: testosterone propionate acts during the first day, phenylpropionate and isocapronate-24 hours after the injection.

Dosage and course of treatment
