Exemestane is one of the most effective blockers to date. Tests show that exemestane suppresses up to 85% of the estrogen in the human body. The action of exemestane is caused by the irreversible binding of hormones to active enzymes, which makes them inactive.
Exemestane has no progestogenic and estrogenic activity, only a small androgenic activity. In high doses, it does not affect the synthesis of cortisol and aldosterone in the adrenal glands. A small increase in the level of LH and FSH in the blood serum is due to the feedback mechanism. At the pituitary level, a decrease in the concentration of estrogens stimulates the secretion of gonadotropins in the pituitary gland.
It is enough to take half a tablet every day or one tablet (25 mg) every 1-2 days. If side effects occur, you should take one tablet every day until the side effects disappear. Take it after a meal.
